Such a great game Robert. Rejoice, don't question why.

Fuck sakes! 25$? Why aren't you reporting that to us! I don't own it.
Miniature Market had Sons of Anarchy for 25$ last week, plus 10% off. I didn't pull the trigger on it because I have waaaaaaay too many worker placement games as is.

Spartacus at Amazon . The price has snuck up a little bit - I paid $25.80, and now it's $27.12. Gas prices? Who knows.
If you have Amazon Prime, I'd recommend that you look there first, for any game. Their prices are usually as cheap or cheaper than dedicated internet game dealers, and Amazon Prime shipping is free. If you don't have Amazon Prime, and spend a lot of money on junk like I do, get Amazon Prime.

There is so much more going on in Spartacus than arena combat. In fact, the combat might be the least time consuming action in the game. You've got the intrigue cards that stimulate interaction between the players and the blind bidding of the market to increase your holdings as well. By the time you get to your first combat you'll be thankful for the respite from all the scheming and backstabbing going on.

Amazon was selling it for $25, which seemed like a decent price for it. The coworkers and Saturday gamers might like it, but I'm not so sure about the family gamers. It wouldn't be the R-rated cards that would chase them off, so much as that they're not big on combat.

I have Prime, and I use it frequently. I literally just bought 2 boxes of flooring cleats between the last 2 posts.

I love Prime but am less excited about it for board games than for most anything else, as the packing elves seem to tend to smash or split my box corners.

I thrifted a good condition copy of the 2001 version of History of the World for $5.99 yesterday. All the cards are pristine and it's just missing one city/capital (is it playable without this?) and the rulebook (already printed off). Is this one worth keeping to play or should I just flip/trade it?

I sold Mice & Mystics and Dead of Winter and cycled the money back into an order for Castles of Mad King Ludwig and the rest of the Mirkwood cycle in LOTR LCG. I'm giving LOTR another shot after parking it on the shelf with a couple of adventure packs a few years ago.

I picked up some Scum stuff for XWing last night - The pack with the two Headhunters and the Y-Wing, and the M3-A Interceptor pack.
Flipping through the cards I can already tell they're going to have a very different feel than either the Rebels or Imperials. First scan through shows a lot of little dirty tricks so to speak that will take some finesse but can potentially be very potent.
The thing that I love, love, love them most about the Scum is how they've put together what I'd call the Scum Starter Pack. For $40 you get three ships which would normally be $45 retail. Then you get the components to run a Scum Firespray, HWK and Y-Wing. So if you already have those ships, $40 will get you enough to fly up to six Scum ships. Just a great package to get people into and playing the faction, with a lot of variety, at a pretty amazing price point.

Miniature Market just gave me the shipping notice on my Scum. Most wanted, 2x Scyk, 1 Starviper and 2 x IG-2000. It won't get here in time for my tournament this weekend, so one last weekend of wave 5 Turrets.
