Quiet Steve. You never followed up on your "Madden Analysis" once we peppered you with a few, simple real football questions when the Cardinals played the Eagles.

Kudos to Eric Martin for pillaging the whole fantasy theme stuff then. And kudos to the vast majority of this group for having the common sense to know that fantasy themed game is a bad fit for DOW.

But for Fantasy Flight Games, have at that theme. They are in a business model far better suited to exploit it.

On that note, trailer videos of the new Blood Bowl PC/XBLA/DS games are popping up across video games sites on the Web.

Yep, a first day buy for me on XBLA. Esp if it's a straight port of the boardgame. That would *rule*

It's supposed to have two modes. One an arcade/action gameplay and the second a direct port of the board game.

Minority viewpoint: I'm not ready to totally dismiss Small World yet. Looking through the preview information that's available (while trying to ignore the worst of the cutesy artwork) leaves me at least mildly intrigued.

Was the marketing campaign incredibly annoying? Yes. Is a fantasy-themed Vinci what DoW needs to get back to its hit-making days? I don't know. But I'll admit that I'll be keeping my eye on this one as April approaches; I'm not ready to write it off just yet.

I'm not a console gamer, but I'm buying this for the PC immediately no matter what. Even the arcade mode looks like a riot....

Yea, I'm with the Dukester on this one. I'm not counting it out yet either. After reading the first couple of presentations of the game, it kind of gives me a Britannia vibe, which is good. The key will be whether or not this is a stand alone game or if it's going to be dependent on future expansions.
