I wonder if there's an Axis and Allies table in an old folks home missing a player...

Seriously though, does anyone here know him personally? If not, that is a possibility. (Not the WWI veteran part).Death and Taxis wrote: I read yesterday that one of the last veterans of World War I passed away in England. Was that Southernman?

I've met him: he doesn't live all that far away from me. As Sag says he withdraw regarding dissatisfaction with some aspects of how this site is run. Clearly he was either a lot angrier or a lot more stubborn than we all assumed.
(although thinking about it, this is Southernman, so we probably shouldn't be surprised)
I hope he comes back one day though.

This was also my impression.

Seems the Radio Shack TRS-80 chip was past it's used-by date.

Sad, really. I like the guy and I liked his whole powder keg mentality here.

Well I have to admit, it does feel a little safer now clicking on the “Submit” button.Michael Barnes wrote: I liked his whole powder keg mentality here.

The silverlining is Tom is partly responsible for a number of changes in both policy and technology that I think have made the site better. For example, deleting anything on the site is now a three step process.
I guess I've been wanting to say that for a long time. And now I have. And I don't really want to talk about it anymore.
