This is what I'm looking at. I would like $150 so I can purchase board game stuff. In the past I'd just take a portion of incoming funds and spend away. However this month sees lots of change including a move, beginning dental school, and becoming first time father... so its a busy time to say the least. Funds are also tight, too tight for a $150 purchase. All hope is not lost however as the wife cleared a purchase that would be funded completely out of selling games already owned.
I've done a few trades and its much easier for me to decide a trade than selling games. What resources do you folks use to come up with prices when selling? I'm not looking to gouge anyone, but I don't want to get jobbed myself. Perhaps its best to just auction them off separately and see what the final number is and go from there. If I can't sell this as a lot is BGG auctions or Ebay the way to go?
The easiest solution would be to have on of you fine folks buy this in one $150 fell swoop.
Mall of Horror, Adventurers, Nuns on the Run, Blood Feud in NY (a Barnes favorite!), Fearsome Floors, Junta, Kahuna, Deflexion, En Garde!, Zombies!!!, Totally Renamed Spy Game, Feudal
Why these 12 games? They were on a shelf together and they don't get played. Obviously some of these games have much greater value than others. Is it best to just assume no one wants the Feudal game that I don't even know how I got; or the Renamed Spy game that was thrown into a package with something else I traded for?
So if you needed the cash, how would you go about it?
Edit: This is what makes it so tough to price games for me. Can anyone explain the $50 difference between these auctions or is it just luck?
$105
Vs.
$52
I mean that's double the value for the same item.

Most of the board games I buy are funded from selling other shit (video games, records, etc), and the one rule of thumb with selling things is that while the market can provide a general price point for how much an item will sell, the final price lies in whoever wants it the most. I've sold records based on other auctions before, and some have failed miserably, while others did great. Auctions especially can be a risky business. I always suggest listing multiple auctions to get more attention to your items, that usually helps. Also being honest and describing the items well can really help sell the product as well.
That being said, selling board games for me has always been a pain. I usually just wait for local math trades to kick in and rotate my games.
