A Challenge to Steve Avery and everyone else

I just got off the phone with Steve "I've met more F:ATties than you have" Avery and he was trash talking about how he's played more games with F:ATies than I have. So we're going to have a little bet to see who can meet the most different people on F:AT by New Years Eve 2010. And I'm challenging everyone else to get in on this contest. I'll even give handicaps or set odds for this contest. Also, I encourage everyone to play one of that persons favorite game with them.

Here's what I've done and my goal by the end of 2010:
Uba - Talisman - Done
IganaDitty - All kinds of stuff - Done
Dogmatic - Espana 1936 - Done
Malloc - Ti3 - Done
Ken B - Ti3, StarCraft - Done (maybe next time one of Ken's favorites)
SkaBarron - Games where we get to blow bugs up - Done
Shellhead - Arkham Horror - Done x2
Thaad - Arkham Horror - Done x2
Joel - Arkham Horror - Done x1
Steve " " Avery - Some racing game where we get to blow shit up - Done
A Strange Aeon - Some Dungeon game that I get killed in turn 2 - Done
Mr. Zir - Arkham Horror - Done
Sag - Warriors of God or some other war game - Summer 2009
Barnes and the Atlanta gang - World Cup Game - Atlanta Game Days 2010
Tom Hancock - Dune or BSG sometime?
Jason Lutes - Tale of Amazing Adventure - Sometime
Will Kenyan - Android Summer 2009
Dr. Mabuse - Current Online Hannibal
Flimflam - Gamedays 2010

Counting your chickens before they hatch aren;t you? Well than, what exactly does it take to qualify as a FA:Tie? Is there a minimum of posts?

I may have to global and go game with Schwieg, Southernman, and Skeletor...

50 posts?

I think we should both plan our family vacations around this bet. I can just imagine me telling QueenPut that next year we're planning on going to the Philippines so I can play Battlelore and War of the Ring with Kookoobah.

I wish there was an easy way to find out what state people live in. Space Ghost is moving out to some college in wilderness and he's planning on bring games to play solo when there might be somebody near by to play some trash with him.

There is a place in the profile where people can put that information.

I'll have to figure out who I have played with.

I live "full-time" in Columbia, Missouri.

The college wilderness is Ann Arbor -- I would be glad to let you add me to any list you are working on.

We could try one of the Google online collabarative tools. We could set a simple (Google) spreadsheet up where people can enter their name and whatever location/address details they want to add, and/or use their maps ..... like this - FATties Worldwide Directory .
(To add yourself click the EDIT button in the left pane and then use the Add Marker button [upside down teardrop thingy] in the right pane to place yourself)

If either of these are popular then we could sticky them somewhere that only registered users could see and access.

Southern Man has a microbadge that says where he's from. How do we buy one of those?

Going to school at the University of Coach Thieves, eh?

I will have to get out of WV and come to Atlanta or Baltimore, it sounds like...

Ha -- yeah, Coach of Theives. I teach here and there is a freeze on all salaries for faculty, but both of our head coaches are getting a few million more this year - mainly to keep Mike Anderson from leaving.

Are you close to Morgantown? Sometimes conferences take me to unpredictable places....would love to play some AT if I ever make it out that way.

I was referring to U-Michigan (the only possible reason to move to ann arbor, land of the coach thieves)

I'm about 2 hours south of Morgantown-- lived there for four years and just moved last year.

I had a successful journey to Minnesota. I tried to corrupt Shellhead, Thaad, Joel all through the our first game of Arkham Horror. I did get them all to join the Cult but we won the game anyway. Shellhead than ask if we wanted to play again and Thaad and me were up for the challenge. So for the first time in my life I play 2 games of Arkham in the same day. We could have used Joel in the second game because Shellhead went insane 5 times, the Dunwich Horror came out twice and we were all devoured in the end.
