I'm working on an AmeriTrash Mix

Yeah, I like to listen to good music while playing AmeriTrash games. So I want to put together a thematic AmeriTrash mix for an upcoming game day. Just working off that portion of my collection that I've uploaded to my PC, this is what I have so far:

I Blew Up the United States, by The Boneshakers
Fear the Future, by the Amino Acids
Wave of Mutilation, by the Pixies
Feel the Pain, by Dinosaur Jr.
Every Day is Halloween, by Ministry
Seven Nation Army, by The White Stripes
When I Burn This Place Down, by Firewater
Return of the Living Dead, by Ghoultown
Clint Eastwood, by The Gorillaz
Another One Bites the Dust, by Queen
High Noon, by Kruder & Dorfmeister
Chainsaw Boogie, by El Ray
What Happens?, by Tiger Army (for the chorus, "I wanna show you what happens when we die")
Black Steel (In the Hour of Chaos), by Tricky
Army of Me, by Bjork
Killing in the Name, by Rage Against the Machine
The Wrath of the Mercenary, by The 'Verb
Hey Man Nice Shot, by Filter
Come Out and Play, by The Offspring
Bomb, by Bush
Big Gun, by Ice-T
Quite A Fireball, by The Vibrants
Rollin' on Chrome (Wild Motherfucker Mix), by The Aphrodelics
Zombie Compromise, by Shadowy Men on a Shadowy Planet

It's a little long to fit on one disk, and I need to work on the order of the songs. Any suggestions? My collection doesn't have a lot of metal or classic rock anymore, because I got bored with it.

"Don't Forget the Chaos" and "Let's Start a War" by The Exploited have to be on there..."Every Day is Halloween"??? Come on man, if it's Ministry it's gotta be something off "Land of Rape and Honey" or "The Mind is a Terrible Thing to Taste". And why Tricky's take on "Black Steel" when PE's could never be equalled? And if we're doing PE, then why not "Louder than a Bomb" or "Bring the Noise".

Sigh...I'll have to come up with one...maybe we can have a few and we'll vote on who's is the best or something.

Rockin' is my Business - Alabama Thunderpussy
Am I Demon - Danzig
I Speed at Night - Dio
The Broken - The Fireball Ministry
Heads Explode - Monster Magnet
Judgment, Rage, Retribution and Thyme - Mudhoney
Your World Will Hate This - Orange Goblin
Those Damn Blue Collared Tweakers - Primus
All Your Lies - Soundgarden
Hate & War - The Clash
Hollywood Babylon - The Misfits
God Hates a Coward - Tomahawk

Pretty much anything by Alabama Thunderpussy, Kyuss, Monster Magnet, The Fireball Ministry and Orange Goblin is good AmeriTrash. GWAR is also a good bet if you have a group with an off-color sense of humor.

The Stooges - Search and Destroy
Mastodon - Blood and Thunder
Lightning Bolt - Dracula Mountain
Metalica - Disposable Heroes
Be Your Own Pet - Ouch (Doesn't make sense if you don't know the song, here it is)
{youtube}v3rxbxIdvlQ{/youtube}

Though to be honest, shouldn't it be:
Star Wars theme
Indy theme
Lord of the Rings theme

Rock the Casbah - The Clash (No other song emphasizes the supremacy of American civilization better.)

Dice Man - The Fall (It's got dice: "I am the dice man, I take the chance man, do you take the chance, baby?" and a tribute to Barnes.)

Born to Kill - The Damned (Play it at your Marines.)

Looks like some great suggestions, though I'm going to need to research some of these.

Some good suggestions...I wouldn't agree with the clash though. I like em, but they're too poppy for a good ameritrash sound imo.

Stick in Wagner's "Flight of the Valkyries" and simply skip to it when you're ready to invade.

i'm thinking this mix would basically consist of a lot of snotty punk and trashy garage rock.

no, dopey stoner and space rock are vital too!

check out if you can find anything from 35007 (Loose) a fantastic space rock band from the Netherlands. Too bad they split up. But that's what I'd play over TI:3 or Starcraft.

discography
Especially For You (Lazy Eye/Semaphore, 1994) - album

35007 (Stickman Records, 1997) - album

Sea Of Tranquillity (Stickman Records, 2001) - EP

Definitely! I had them in my possession for a few weeks but not given them a listen (bottom of the stack I'm afraid) but I was stung into action by your recommendation. And man, do these guys rock!

I'd place them somewhere around CCR, the Black Keys and Brian Jonestown Massacre. While the first two are a bit too clean for AT, the BJM definitely qualifies. I've never seen a guy smoke as much as their lead singer/guitarist. His skin looked as grey as an ashtray.

Until this discussion includes The Exploited's "Let's Start a War" and/or "Don't Forget the Chaos" I don't want to have anything to do with it.
