Streets of Fire sequel?!

They sure don't make them like the used to...

...and by that I mean fun, quirky action films.

Streets of Fire was one of my childhood favorites (behind the almighty Big Trouble in Little China). I mean, Bill Paxton, Willem Defoe, Lee Ving (More Beer!), Robert Townsend, Rick Moranis and smokin' hot Diane Lane set to music by the Blasters in a future/retro-dystopia ...almost the perfect film!

Of course there was always talk of it being a trilogy, but unfortunately, it looks like some studio is cashing in on the green screen phenomenon and going with a very odd looking sequel. A new, young actress to play Ellen, but Cody's still aged 25 years?!?!
That Sin City rip-off poster doesn't help either.

Oh well, I'll still see it!
