Lock n Load: A Day of Heroes

I got his last week and gave it a solo run. It's Lock n Load for the action seen in Black Hawk Down. Definitely different in flavor than the LnL WWII stuff, most of the scenarios are US (Rangers and Delta boys) vs. the Somalis, though the Pakistanis fight them too. Plays differently than Band of Heroes since the Somalis at their best are weak though the game mechanics support mobs and self-generating Somali squads. The US (from what I can tell so far) will always end up massively outnumbered by the end of the game.

This probably wouldn't be the best intro to the LnL system since the Somalis definitely aren't the SS or the Red Gaurd. Like I said they play differently. It's cool as hell to play the D-Boys (who are as badass as they should be) and the Rangers. Definitely worth a shot if there's a modern tactical itch you need to scratch. The components set a new high for LNLP with a really nice map and excellent counters. The V3 Lock n Load series rules are an improvement too.
