From our latest press release -
For Immediate Release – 19 August 2009
WarriorElite Ltd annouces improved cards
UK games company WarriorElite announce a change in manufacturer and an improved product.
Unhappy with the relationship they had with their first manufacturers – a print firm based in India - their Design Director made the move to work with the UK company Richard Edwards, based in London. The change was not made lightly but came about as a result of unresolved issues which were made more difficult to resolve with the distance involved. Unable to bring about a reasonable agreement WarriorElite decided it was better to have a higher degree of control and have discovered that they can still keep costs down even in a domestic market.
“There’s no doubt that we have a much improved relationship and a superior product now so we’re much happier with the results overall which bodes well for future runs of the base game and expansions to War for Edadh,” explained their Design Director. “Our gamers will see a definite improvement – not least in the clarity of the cards – but the overall design and look will still be as it was.”

Will the existing cards be viable for future releases? I.e., will the cards match?
Thanks!

There really aren't any card draws or luck based systems like that in the game, so technically it doesn't matter if the cards match. It would only matter if you were using a combination of the two different decks as your battle cards. In that case, your opponent could potentially tell the difference between the card backs.
