Mutant Chronicles ----was this ever discussed after it was released?

My search turns up nothing. Seems like this is an AT classic and should have been played by SOMEBODY here?

Is there a thread I missed or is this the most DOA kickstarter/rerelease of all time?

Yeah, I never heard or saw anything about it after it was first announced. KS page says the campaign's completed, with posts about shipping missing parts or replacements, so it did happen. There are a couple online retailers who also had copies that are now sold out, so it's out there, but posts on the BGG page are pretty sparse (most recent was started a month ago and the majority are from 7 months ago, when it was supposedly released.) There's a full pledge on Ebay for "only" $175, so maybe this one just didn't work? To be quite honest, the original game was never really all that, either.

It’s been about 30 years, but I remember having the best time with friends and family running through the campaign of the original. It’s also the only game I know of where players alternated being the overlord and still earned experience for their non-overlord characters. A cool idea.

I sometimes think about revisiting it.

My first thought as well. We played through the whole campaign back in the day and I still think their implementation of a rotating GM is a masterstroke. All of the damage you do to the PCs when you're playing as the Overlord translates directly into earned experience for your own PC, who sits out the match. A great way to ensure that the Overlord doesn't softball it for the team.
