WTF 2016????

First, the two greatest rock stars of all time die (Bowie and Prince). One of the greatest country singers ever dies (Hag). Then Axl and Slash reconvene Guns n' Roses. Danzig and Jerry Only kiss and make up. AC/DC's lineup changes.

And then...ABBA perform a couple of songs together on stage at a 50th anniversary celebration. This is a band that once turned down A BILLION DOLLAR offer presented by an "international consortium of investors" to do a world tour. They haven't performed together since I think 1982.

Yes, I love ABBA. I squealed when I read this.

What else "will never happen" in music this year???

Three guesses on some music 'will never happens' that still won't happen:

* Keith Richard (I feel terrible typing that. But him still trucking along is an often held as a miracle....he must be an immortal of some sort)
* Morrissey and Marr bury the hatchet and reform The Smiths
* MTV goes back to music videos

Hah - Who would watch a music video channel when you can just dial up whatever you want on youtube? Remember M2? That failed miserably - MTV is damned if you do, damned if you don't : Play music videos no one will watch, or produce the schlock that they have to try to capture the next pile of 16-25 year viewers and be criticized for not playing videos.

More importantly, my life sucks this year too.

All of this is eclipsing the fact that Bieber is making some of the best music we've ever seen.

If there is a Morrissey/Marr reconciliation I am packing a bug out bag because the end times will be upon us.

Roger waters will become humble and join back up with pink floyd to make an album that doesnt suck for the first time since momentary lapse of reason.

Ozzy osbourne will finally die in a knife fight against gene simmons.

One direction will team up with tito jackson and go septuple platinum.

Prince will be on an episode of New Girl.
