Barely a scratch on my armor of cynicism, but the spawn is going to be dissecting this for weeks.

I would rather see Rogue Two.

The Jedi should end because they're like the wizards in Hogwarts: worse than useless, they're a threat to everyone around them.

Looks a bit Empire Strikes back-ish.
Luke is now Yoda. Dagobah is a island. I would like them to have Daisy carry Mark around the island.
A rebel base is attacked, likely in grand fashion.

I am hoping that there is an injection of new story elements.

Maybe Dave Chappelle can play the new Lando equivalent.

There is literally nothing of any use in this trailer. My give-a-fuck meter hasn't moved. I'm still looking forward to seeing it, but this didn't get me any more excited.

It's a very interesting trailer- pretty ballsy, really. It touches on a couple of things everybody (except the Internet) is looking forward to but brings a lot more questions up.
It looks to me- and I think this is a REALLY awesome thing if it is true because it very specifically ties the great Clone Wars TV series to the main canon- that Luke does some learnin' about what the Jedi were up to during the Republic. Witness the book with the Republic crest on it- could that be the Journal of the Whills? Because if you watch the show, you come to realize how the Jedi were sort of like the Republic's SS. That and they were wizardy, mind-controlling enforcers that would get called in to help subdue people that were resistant to hegemony.. They weren't necessarily evil or bad, but their role in the Clone Wars and in the Republic was not really as simple as being Knights-errant.

Of course, we are in deep nerd territory with all of that and most people have not seen Clone Wars and realize that it gets into all of that darker, deeper stuff. But I think the spirit of that is going to be what leads to the "The Jedi...must end". I think Luke discovers something- maybe even connected to Snoke- that causes him to lose faith. Rey shows up and instead of Yoda's "He will not be trained" rigmarole, it will be "Ain't nobody going to be trained" from Luke.

The poster is interesting because it doubles Luke's face with Kylo Ren's...COULD LUKE STILL TURN OUT TO BE KYLO REN SOMEHOW?!?!?!!?!?

I think a new "order" will emerge. Kind of like a new Jedi order but that will remain completely independent and devoted to the balance.

Pretty sure Donald Glover is playing young Lando.in the Han Solo movie. So maybe he can reprise it here.

oh you must be joking. the first sequel was only OK briefly for the whoah its a reworking of the old film we all liked as kids. But then on rewatching you realise its not so great, and in fact. crap. Rogue One was fucking shit. Nonsensical plot points tied together with an endless stream of oo look lets make it grungy like a war movie explosions and shit. Utter tosh. Just like this next one will be
I will still go and see it, enjoy it for the 2 hours out of the house it represents, then stupidly forget my own wisdom and rewatch the DVD and hate everything about it. Just like the previous two. The only decent part of R1 was Vader being in it and they tried to fuck some of that up as well.

This must be what I sound like when discussing the Star Trek reboot.
