Bugs: Recent Topics Paging, Uploading Images & Preview (11 Dec 2020)

Recent Topics paging, uploading images and preview bugs require a patch which has not yet been released.

× Talk abut Movies & TV here. Just tell us what you have been watching. Have hyper-academic discussions on visual semiotics. Whatever, it's all good.

This probably doesn't deserve it's own thread, but...

I just watched the most bizarre, surreal, and entertaining 30 minutes of TV I've seen in a while - Jean-Claude Van Johnson over on Amazon Prime.

Jean-Claude Van Damme plays - himself? - as a washed up movie star who used to also be an undercover secret agent.

It's really inventive and clever. So far just one episode, and Amazon is trying to decide whether to pick it up or not.

So... there's that.

I watched it a few months ago and got a kick out of it, especially the Hollywood jokes (we're probably less than 5 years away from a gritty, amped-up update of Huckleberry Finn). I couldn't give two shits about the romantic subplot and I'm not sure how they can stretch the premise into an entire season, but I'll definitely be watching when the rest of the episodes hit!

The live action Tick pilot from the same Amazon pilot season is pretty good too.

Just watched Jean Claude. That was very enjoyable, and I hope they make more.
