The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel . Kick ass show.

I set you all up with Good Behavior and you ignored me, this is your second AAA rated pick. Don’t make the same mistake twice.

‘Tis on Amazon.

This constantly appears in my recommended list. Glad to know I should give it a shot.

I’ve followed up on How We Got To Here by the way. Thanks for the rec.

Went back to Sneaky Pete on Amazon. I'd watched the first two episodes and was OK with it. Cranston's character is a bit shallow/stereotypical for me and the episode pacing set up a bit too much like a sitcom ("What contorted crisis will Marius narrowly escape THIS week!") I watched episodes 3 and 4 last night and neither of those things has really changed. There are a few more subplots woven in, but it's still kind of formulaic in its approach. One big change at the end of episode 4 was that it finally showed real consequences for one character's actions, so that's positive. The reason I'm continuing is that the overall plot resembles a novel I've been tinkering with for the past couple decades and I want to see if they go in the same directions that I'd been planning to go. However, the show may not be enough of a draw for me to spend the time. We'll see.

I watched Black Lightning. It was 10X better than Luke Cage.

Thanks. (If you want to attract F:ATTIES then quote the wiki: "After baring her breasts in an attempt to demonstrate how attractive she is, ..."

My wife was watching it and the kids came in right in the middle of quite possibly the longest stream of F-bombs I’ve ever heard come from a TV speaker.

My wife was really into Masters of Sex so I saw most of it...some of it is quite good but it sort of eroded into a flaccid, soapy mess.

Fun fact for Detectorists fans that I found out; the actress who plays Becky is actually Diana Riggs' daughter in real life too.

Enjoyed the first season of The Good Place which I checked out based on mentions here. So thanks for that.

Me: "Man, he won't quit talking about this show. It sounds lame [checks IMDB scores] HOLY CRAP!"

I just finished the first season. Such a sweet series. This could never be made in the US, unfortunately. Mackenzie Crook looked so familiar...

Anyway, for some reason I can't put my finger on, I can really relate to this TV show about a bunch of socially awkward misfits who obsess over a hobby that nobody else really cares about.

I knew there was a reason that I found myself disproportionately attracted to Becky's character! I used to watch the Avengers as a very young boy, and I think Diana Rigg caused some kind of hormonal imprinting on me. To this day, black sweaters and leather boots-- oh my.

Watched Black Mirror USS Callister last night. Really puts Lt Barclay's holodeck adventures with his coworkers in a much better light by comparison.

Watched the Godzilla anime on Netflix. It's amazing to me that with all of those talented people, apparently no one ever said out loud "hey, this script is boring as hell."

I feel that way about the vast majority of anime in general.

But this one in particular was filled with pseudo jargon mumbo jumbo. I didn't mind the lackluster story (this is gojira after all) as much as I did every other line that was shouted out as if it was even remotely believable. The entire show was filled with the shit.

They may as well just screamed "9000?!?!" over and over again for all it mattered.

So a long time ago I read Stephen Kings 10.22.63 and loved it. You guys alerted me a while back that there was a mini series adapted to it. I flew on some planes this week that had it so I watched the first two episodes. They were okay I guess, but couldn’t reproduce any of the magic or fear from the book, yet. I’m not really digging James Franco as Epping either

I’d watch the rest if it was in front of me but I don’t think I’ll make any effort to make that happen
