Yeah, I'm thinking about picking that up...I don't like Rabbids at all but the game sounds great.

I do believe my kids will be getting that Mario Rabbids game for their birthday. A completely selfless gesture on my part.

I traded a bunch of ancient stuff at GameStop, for the 60% bonus, and got the Mario Rabbids thing.

It's good! It is in fact very XCOM but very streamlined. For example, if you are shooting at something in the open, it's 100% to hit. Behind cover, it is 50% to hit and you might hit the destructible cover. Full cover you can't hit it but you might damage the cover. I think this is pretty brilliant. Weapons also have status effects that go off at certain percentages- burn, push, honey...

Moving also has a couple of neat innovations that are also very Mario. If you move on top of one of your teammates, you can bounce on them and basically get a second move. There is also a built in melee dash attack, if you move through an enemy you damage them.

Not very challenging so far, but FUN. It is definitely more Mario than Rabbids, and it feels like a modern update on the Mario RPG formula. The Rabbids are sort of knowingly regarded as an annoying nuisance, which is kind of funny.

Never really noticed how Minions are kind of a ripoff of them...

But yeah, this is a winner.

Last night, Disgustipater and I tore it up in PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds, so much so that even the blue circle of death feared us.

We did get a squad win a few days ago. Everyone else decided to die right before the video starts, so I had to take care of it myself.

I jumped onto the passing Zeitgeist and got the first chapter of the Life is Strange prequel. It's very well done, though vanishingly short. Anyone who's played the original will know what to expect; a lot of choices, actions and conversations with consequences and branching outcomes. The new elements in this one are: no rewinds, so you're stuck with your choices (or you re-start the last checkpoint), and a return of the Monkey Island insult challenge.

The highlight for me was
Warning: Spoiler!

The overall theme of the game is also on point with current events in the Pacific NW.

My friend came over and we broke out the latest Worms game, Worms WMD. We have been playing Worms off and on for 25 years or however long it's been around, but it had been a long time for both of us. This game really amps up the destruction, with the inclusion of turrets and vehicles. It was a lot of fun.

We then attempted to play Nidhogg, and it wouldn't start. So I used that as an excuse to buy Nidhogg 2. Interesting sales ploy! Anyway, it's everything you loved about Nidhogg and then some. The new weapons really change the game, and the new environments are cool. We had a blast.

Finished Stories Untold, which is a short 4 part horror game in the vein of Twilight Zone. Each part only takes about 30 minutes to go through, and the last chapter ties it all together in a clever way that makes you look back on all of the parts and see them in a new light.

Is it scary? Not so much; the first part is the creepiest. Part 3 crashed on me a few times, so the fear of losing my progress was strong, I guess.

Worth a look if you find it cheap... 5 / 10

Disgustipater - we need to get back to PUBG, they added fog and a new town!

I'll have to get this. I'd love to play.

I've been playing Baldurs Gate Dark Alliance II with the wife for a week. Still salty they didn't make a sequel.

Two wins in a row baby! One with hotseatgames and his friend, then he left and we won the next game with his friend and my friends.
