Somebody mentioned the whole craft beer drive toward undrinkability...man, that is so true. Imperial everything, over-hopping or over-malting everything, coming up with bizarre ass shit like WATERMELON beer...whatever happened to just good, solid, drinkable beer being what you after instead of this "these beers of ours" bullshit that seems to exist only to weed out the casual beer fans?

Oh the indignity! Those poor casual beer fans... they will have nothing to drink anymore! Will anyone think about them? Please!!

The hop addition in beer is getting a little irritating, but it's easily avoided. I'm no hop fan either but the micro brew beer revolution is a good thing for the most part. Does anyone remember what it was like before? Eight domestic beers that all tasted identical to one another and nothing else to choose from. JOY!! Things are way better now.

You can still buy all the Bud, Coors, Molson, etc... all you like. They still make giant super bowl commercials for you in case you forgot they existed for 8 seconds. Some places don't give you any other options in fact.

Tonight I will be drinking some beer, and it will be a shitty domestic because I'm not spending big money on this night. Mostly... in a thread like this, it's not worth mentioning though because you're not going to really share anything interesting with us. There is no point in saying "I had fun drinking a six pack of Coors Light lager last week-end" because who the hell is going to find that worth their time? Who doesn't already know that Coors exists?

I had a Watermelon beer, it was fine. I wouldn't want to drink multiples of them but one in the afternoon on a hot day. That was perfect.

There is no snobbery in that but what I don't get is the negative reaction to choice that was formerly unavailable to us. More choice is better and I hate the idea of going back to how it was before. Getting upset at the choice available to us now strikes me as really reaching hard to find something to get indignant about.

THIS. Mix with root beer and you have the most delicious drunken slur you've ever had.

Oh damn.

I now realize why they call apple-cinnamon moonshine "Applejack"

If you drink enough you'll end up singing like a My Little Pony by the end of the night, but in the morning you'll feel like you got horse-kicked in the head.

BEWARE THE BUBBLES.

Apple cinnamon moonshine is called apple pie. Applejack is something different entirely. More of a brandy blend.
