I just want to remind you guys that I offered my full Talisman set for under $200 and no one took it here.
I decided to parcel it out and sell everything a la carte. Here is where I stand after selling:
Base game with tore up board
Deep Realms
Dragon
Reaper
Cataclysm
Highlands
Woodland
Firelands
City
<<<$570>>>
And I still have Dungeon, Frostmarch, Blood Moon, Sacred Pool and Nether Realms to sell so I should get close to $650 total. Most of this I didn't have boxes for, either, so it wasn't like NIS.
So...moral...when I offer a F:AT special pricing deal, you should take my advice and buy it. And sell your Talisman stuff before GW reprints it!

Good on you. That's some nice coin.
I have to wonder, though: why the hell are people paying so much for the expansions?? Weren't all these pretty widely available? And there shouldn't be much FOMO at play since GW is planning to keep printing it (well, I guess I don't know if they're going to keep printing ALL of it).

Yeah, fees are going to eat some of that...but I did cut a couple of TOS violating deals which were contingent on the buyer paying with that "send money to friends and family" option. And the shipping costs I built in, I overestimated on almost all of them. So it's kind of a wash. Sadly, Ebay is about the only reliable option when F:ATties do not realize that a) I am offering the deal of a lifetime and b) they do not realize how generous and magnanimous I am in selling them my games. I was also willing to forgo a couple of bucks in exchange for quick turnarounds. I mean, that's like $600 was literally sitting in a storage bin in the basement.
NOW is the time to sell Talisman because there is uncertainty. Nobody really knows what is going to happen with it. I'm fairly sure that GW will reprint everything as it is, because it was a GW property under license with FFG. They own all the art and assets and all of the expansions. So unless they decide to do the smart thing and make it AOS, it'll all come back. But even then, will they fuck it up? Will it be astronomically expensive? Will they really do ALL 13 expansions? What is the timeframe for release? Will it be three years before they get to Cataclysm?
All of that, coupled with the fact that there is still FOMO from a year ago and people are looking to complete FFG sets, make these have value. Some of them are definitely more valuable than others. Woodland is the top dollar item- I got $125 for it, it goes for $100-$150. It was also not produced as much as some of the small boxes. Highland and City and are also pretty valuable, $80-$120. The Deep Realms is about $100. The small boxes are around $35-$50 each, as is Cataclysm and Dragon. Nether Realms had more printings than Deep Realms so it is less valuable, in that $35-$50 band.
Absolutely no regrets.

The only reason I didn't pick up any of those expansions is because I already have them all. My copy of Talisman, like Cosmic Encounter, Wiz-War, and Duel of Ages II, isn't going anywhere. But I'm glad you were able to make a killing on it, it feels like a small victory whenever I'm able to make any kind of sale of an old game.
That reminds me that I am due for a big culling of my own game shelf.
