Ever seen Tromeo and Juliet? 'House Capulet' 'House Monteque' 'House MotorHead'

They had Lemmie be the role of the Narrator. He is very well spoken... but very scary looking.

Hmmm... I can't believe those Toxic Avenger fools did something beyond that mop swinging jackass. I'll definately have to give this a look-- Thanks Thaad.

As For Lenmmy being scary looking... his ugly-ass, muttonchop sporting, wart having mug probably gets more tail than we could both shake a stick at.

Fuck, do I wanna be a Rockstar!!

When I saw Motorhead back in '95, they came out and Lemmy said "We are Motorhead" and immediately went into "Ace of Spades". Then they played it again for an encore. Totally badass.

Hey Mike, (insert sly grin here) If Lemmy and God got into a fight who would win?

That other graphic isn't there, Mike. It better not be Stryper, for pete's sake.

It is Stryper, which only adds to my disapointement.

Dude, I thought you'd remember the answer from Airheads:

It's a trick question. Lemmy is God.

I just loooove it when people call me boss by the way--- almost as much as when people call me guy.

Look here Chief, there's only one line worth remembering from AIRHEADS, and that's "I was the editor of the school newspaper". The rest of the film has faded from memory.

Matt- if you can't see Stryper, then just look in the toilet next time before you flush. Imagine that with wigs and a yellow and black striped vest.

Hold up, is Chief a step up or down? Does it matter that you capitalised the C?

Christ, write a few reviews for a webzine and all of as sudden that gives you license to shit on all the small people.

Stupid internets.

Driving into work today, I heard this hilarious song. The local college radio station does a Theme Thursday in the morning each week, and today it was Anti-Love Songs. The song that I really enjoyed was "No Children" by the Mountain Goats. Here is the Youtube:

Here is the free MP3 file:

www.emp3world.com/mp3/92414/T.../No%20Children

And here's a sample of the lyrics that had me laughing so hard in the car:

"And I hope the rising black smoke carries me far away
and I never come back to this town again
in my life
I hope I lie
and tell everyone you were a good wife
and I hope you die
I hope we both die

"I hope I cut myself shaving tomorrow
I hope it bleeds all day long
Our friends say it's darkest before the sun rises
We're pretty sure they're all wrong
I hope it stays dark forever"

What really had me laughing was that it sounds like such a pleasant and slightly sweet folk song, but the deadpan delivery of such harsh lyrics makes it a trap for the unwary listener.

It's hard to put together a list of my favs. A lot of stuff I love I hear just on the radio or is jotted down on a wish list stuffed in my desk somewhere.....

But here's whats on the top of the CD heap this week...

The Cars
Shiny Toy Guns
Talking Heads
Violent Femmes
The Strokes
Blondie
Styx
Journey
AC/DC
The Cult
Jon Spencer Blues Explosion
Big Country
The Dead Milkmen
and Carl Orff's Carmina Burana

Oh yeah, I almost forgot...Andy Williams Christmas Album is still sitting out here, too. Just don't tell those bad-ass, Motorhead-listening, AT-types. I don't wanna get beatup.

"Chief" is definitely a male term of endearment. I think that means you're good.

Yeah I know Ken-- I'm just busting Mike's balls.

We could all use a good ballbusting every now and then.

Now, I just gotta make sure the wife never sets eyes this post or I'm three different kinds of fucked. :p

Argh. I like practically every CD I own, so asking me which bands/CDs are my favorites is pure torture. The artists I like right now are:

Fugazi
Bob Dylan
Miles Davis
John Coltrane
Pavement
Dinosaur Jr.
Elvis Costello, especially his early stuff
Massive Attack
Tortoise

I'm just getting into the Fall. I bought 458319 A-Sides, or whatever the number is, and I think it's great. Barnes, are there any albums of theirs I should definitely seek out?

I agree with the general sentiment that one's tastes often leave one with difficulty narrowing down the field for favourites.

Mine would be:

Industrial/Metal/Industrial-Metal: Rammstein, Hanzel und Gretyl, Feindflug,
Dethklok, Ministry, Powerman 5000 (Tonight the Stars Revolt ONLY), Rob Zombie/White Zombie (the older the better), Ten Masked Men;

Goth/Goth-Industrial/Goth-Metal: Mindless Self-Indulgence, Evanescence (yeah, yeah, embarassing, I know), Kittie, Elis, Lacuna Coil, some Marylin Manson (yeah, yeah...), Chris Vrenna;

Punk: The Sex Pistols (naturally), Gogol Bordello, TISM;

Punkish/Lamepunk: The Offspring, Sum 41, Blink 182 (very, very occasionally), the Bloodhound Gang (HFB and OFBC);

Rap (gasp): Eminem, MC Chris, MC Frontalot, Jem, The O;

Country/Southern: Johnny Cash, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Spiderbait's Black Betty cover, O Brother Where Art Though soundtrack, various Squidbillies theme-songs;

Classical Composers: Wagner, Holst, Piefke, Mozart, Beethoven, Grieg, Tchaikovsky,

Classical Soundtrack Composers: Klaus Badelt, Basel Polodouris, Jeff van Dyck/Richard Vaughan, John Williams, Stephen Rippy.

...all music.

...I'd have a really hard time coming up with a list, but off the top:

American bands?

Residents
Stooges
Sunburned Hand of The Man
Melvins
Art Ensemble of Chicago
Sun Ra
Last Exit*
Contortions
DNA*
Talking Heads*
Lambchop
Matt Shipp
Public Enemy

*some non-US

Imported...

Boris
Merzbow
Hermann Nitsch
Boredoms
Can
Brotzmann Tentet*

Some US members.

...would all be on my list. But the list is subject to change at any moment.
