Driving into work today, I heard this hilarious song. The local college radio station does a Theme Thursday in the morning each week, and today it was Anti-Love Songs. The song that I really enjoyed was "No Children" by the Mountain Goats. Here is the Youtube:

And here's a sample of the lyrics that had me laughing so hard in the car:

What really had me laughing was that it sounds like such a pleasant and slightly sweet folk song, but the deadpan delivery of such harsh lyrics makes it a trap for the unwary listener.

It's hard to put together a list of my favs. A lot of stuff I love I hear just on the radio or is jotted down on a wish list stuffed in my desk somewhere.....
