Ha! The maternity clothes thing is dead on the money.
I think back to when I had like 500, 600 games...man, what was I thinking. Only about like 2 percent of those saw regular play. But I had that "just in case" mentality...
I understand collecting...I'm as much a Warhammer collector as a player now. I've got pieces that may never see the table but I wanted them in the collection. And I've found I really like collecting Warhammer stuff like how people collect D&D stuff. But I am NOT a board game collector.

40k collecting is an even worse rabbit hole. I started 30 years ago and finally gave away a shit ton to my nephew in August. I have none left now except maybe the first figurine I painted and an epic scale Great Unclean One. I do intend on purging half of my boardgame collection soon.
