Just saw that fantasy artist Wayne England passed away unexpectedly. He did a lot of work for Games Workshop, Magic and other fantasy companies and games.

Certainly one of the defining faces of GW art back when I got into Warhammer in the mid-90's. Lots of little skully crests all over the army books to break up paragraphs and sections.

He made a TON of Mtg cards, > 100.

I loved his spikey wurms, like Dreamwinder, Worldgorger Dragon, Stone-Tusk Basilisk, and Craw Wurm. Given the limited size of the MtG frame, a lot of the work can end up samey (art direction: "Big creature lunges towards viewer"),but he did a great job exploring the space with things like Ttianic Bulvox.

Yeah, the examples of MTG cards didn't post and I was too busy at work to fix them. He definitely was a staple at GW in the 90s. He's not my favorite fantasy artist ever, but he had a style that was very different from the other artists. Everything is very spikey and often a little geometric. When he worked in color they often appear to be watercolors. Not sure which mediums he used exactly.

I never knew for sure, but always assumed he did Lord Borak. If that's the case, it's my favorite piece of his. I love Mr. Borak
Sucks to hear Wayne died though. His 3rd edition BB art is seared into my memory forever. Good stuff
Like I said earlier 2016 must be the year of The Reaper. It's getting out of hand...
