It’s certainly not the best game, but it’s no Toe To Toe Nukle’r Combat With The Russkies

I think the only real way to select a start player is using the device that looks like a dildo stand on the set of Star Whores.
Lightning reaction.
Or its portable , yet oddly electro vibro pocket pussy shaped cousin, shocking roulette.

Yes, it’s biased toward the best reflexes but that’s offset by the ability to harass that player for weeks about their predilection toward Dick grabbing

Worst according to me (still in my collection): Harry Potter Hogwarts Battle expansion. The base game is fine but the expansion is a real POS

Fucking hate this game. Deeply.

Although not quite as tedious, it reminds me of Sentinels of the Multiverse, AKA "Adding small integers: The Game." Which to me is just never fun, unless there's positional play a la Into the Breach.
Race for the Galaxy >>> Puerto Rico > San Juan > Roll for the Galaxy
If I were to number them BGG style, it'd be, 9, 6, 5, 4. Then we get back into that old discussion of favorite vs. best. I can see that San Juan isn't a bad game, there are just games that I like much better which are similar. RftG is a game I'd be content to play almost every day or week if I had willing and skilled opponents. I can go months or years without yearning for the other 3.

Hah! Way back when I remember having to make the tough decision between Elric and Dark Emperor. I made the right choice, barely.
No bad games in my collection, just games that haven't been played in 20 years and never will be again :| .
Oh wait, no, I still have Roborally...

With regard to Race for the Galaxy, I haven't played in ages, but the Windows knockoff game someone made is spectacular and I've played it at least 200 times. I actually played it nearly nonstop on a 2-leg flight from Cincinnati to San Diego...and back.

Crap you not, the second purchase my buddies made was Sentinels - One of them is all in and is awaiting the Oblivaeon kickstarter with all the bling. 4 or 5 player games of people adding and subtracting plus ones. And of course all of the alpha gamer table talk that comes from a co-op. The game is got good lore, the art is a style that I like, i dunno- I wish they could port all that cool world building into a good game engine. Always sad to see that big box and all the expansion set up on the table when I come over. Again, though, it is my penance for making them sit through plays of Dead of Winter.

SuperflyTNT wrote: Fuck Puerto Rico indeed. I felt strongly enough about hating it that I actually got one of my last tempbans for a conversation stemming from the prima facia racism of the game.
.
We had been playing the game for a couple of years before one of my daughters pointed out that our workers were all brown and were shipped in from a boat. That was a fun teachable moment.

Best: Twilight Struggle
Shows that BGG really knows what it's talking about because this game is a stone cold classic.
Worst: Cornerstone
Shows that BGG really doesn't know shit because this game is a stone cold classic.
Actual worst game in my collection: Urban Sprawl. Man I had high hopes for that but it's just a dog.

BGG BEST:
Pandemic
BGG WORST:
Monopoly (4.32!)
I actually gave worse games but they’re so bad there’s not even a Geek Rating
