Bugs: Recent Topics Paging, Uploading Images & Preview (11 Dec 2020)
Recent Topics paging, uploading images and preview bugs require a patch which has not yet been released.
GW - Wizkids Alliance (Include FoD Reprint)
gamerswebweb.wordpress.com/2017/10/19/wi...with-games-workshop/
I thought there was some game coming out by some other company where you play troll slayers looking for death. Maybe it's Wizkids?
Either way, I think I'm good staying within GW produced titles and getting my GW universe gaming on there. GW produces top shelf material. The FFG releases of 40k/WFB/BB setting titles sort of left me a little cold. I preferred the real games.
Still, great news for those that like the settings, but not the hobby.

I would think the money is going to be in the Dicemaster type stuff.

I actually think that a 40K-themed Dice Masters sounds cool. I might buy a gravity feed of that. Having FoD and Relic in print is a good thing too.
*edit* Also, that's both WotC and GW that have cut deals with Wizkids.

It does look more and more like the break-up was on FFG's end as GW is brokering new deals to get their board game titles back out. I think we sort of suspected this with the Asmodee acquisition and Runewars.
EDIT: Not only boardgames, but GW signed on with Cubicle 7 to get 40k, WFRP, and AoS rpgs back on the shelves. These are all things FFG also produced. Unless there was an issue in the contract/fees, it looks like GW was fine with what FFG was doing...

I’d have to say that anything that uses models that can be used in either Warhammer game won’t be under Wizkid’s jurisdiction.

Fury of Dracula...the value is really up in the air right now. It depends on what WK does with it. I wonder if the 2nd/3rd edition revisions are owned by FFG or GW. If GW has them, I would expect to see 3rd edition come over mostly unchanged. But the figures would definitely have to be different as those were FFG molds. And that opens up the possibility for...clickbases. Ugh. I don't know if I have trust in WK to do right by it. I actually think that this particular announcement may drive the value of it UP...and I'm not so sure I want to sell mine at all without seeing whatever WK does with it. Maybe they will get someone good on board to work on it...or maybe it will be a straight reprint of the 1st edition. Which actually would not be a bad thing.
Relic reprint...well, I'm glad for it because maybe it will help get the game out to more people. But I can not see anything that needs a 2nd edition about it, and with the two expansions it is expanded to a "just right" level. So I dunno.
I'd really rather GW themselves do more stuff like Shadespire, Gorechosen, the Horus Heresy games, etc. than fiddle around with junk like Dicemasters and the other licensed stuff...but a huge percentage of their profit actually comes from licensed games so it makes sense that they'd get with a another partner.

And WK gets to make 40k dice games out of the deal.
Seems possible.
