Just wanted to call attention to this game, got it on Ipad. It is pretty similar to Mordheim, but way better.
First of all, no IAPs. You gain in-game currency from fighting, and buy stuff with it, there're no shortcuts to get better stuff with real money.
The system is very good. It takes some time to get used to (and UI is confusing), but it is an elegant combination of miniatures and cards. Positioning is key, and there's a lot of tactical depth to encounters. There're many strategic options and band configurations. All units have some kind of special ability that depends a lot on positioning and timing. Fighting other human players is tense and satisfying. And it does capture the dudes-with-katanas feel.
Unfortunately, it doesn't have a huge player base. About 4 in 5 fights are against bots. But since I've leveled up my band, I find more and more humans.

Deserves a signal boost. I played this quite a bit on PC and really enjoyed it: only stopped regular play for lack of time and still pick it up occasionally.

If you want to try out a deck-building miniatures game like Shadespire before it releases, try this.

Your comment coupled with Charles gushing over Shadespire makes me think I won't be able to resist it. And thanks to Bushido, I also see how you can have a really fast miniatures+cards skirmish.
One thing Bushido doesn't have are objectives beyond kill them all. All skirmish & miniature games should have objectives.

Yes, the objective system in Shadespire is a huge part of its excellence.
